I love geometric pieces. They show off a sense of sophistication and edge. The hard lines make me think of a professional business woman while the colours and different dimensions of the shapes convey a creative image. They’ve been in season since winter but I haven’t been able to get my hands on the perfect piece until now.

The best part about this geometric shirt is the different colours. It is a mix of both warm and cool tones that all compliment each other. It’s about to become my Spring staple piece. I feel like I could dress this up for a light look with other light tones, or with a darker look with faux leather to suit this bipolar weather.
Styling the Geometric Shirt
I wanted to dress this shirt to match with the weather and what I was doing. I was going to Ruelo for some afternoon tea that day, so I knew I had to wear this shirt to compliment the pastry colours (rainbow macarons!). However, I didn’t want to wash the colours out of the outfit by wearing all dark pieces. I needed something to help bring the attention to the geometric shirt. I then decided to pair the white skort with it so make an all light outfit.

Unfortunately, Canadian weather is not forgiving. It’s still quite chilly. It’s not the season to go bare- legged yet. So obviously, no surprise, I’m going with my wardrobe staples: thigh high socks and heeled combat boots. However, it would be really unbalanced being white on top and dark heavy on the bottom. To pull the look together, I finally pulled out my men’s faux leather jacket that I thrifted a year ago and wore it. At first I didn’t like the jacket because I thought it made me look frumpy, but boy was I wrong! I absolutely love the jacket now. Who needs to wear anything fitted anymore? Altogether, it’s the perfect outfit for the geometric shirt and bipolar weather, woo!
