This was my last stop during my stay in Texas. I didn’t even know there was a Dallas Arboretum until my boyfriend pointed it out to me. I do love nature, so I thought it’d be fun to check it out. I have to say though, this place is bigger than you think it’d be. We got there an hour before they closed and decided to take the main paths. There isn’t too much to see but a small overview on the main path. However, when we started venturing deeper into the little paths, we came to realize that this place is actually HUGE. The Dallas Arboretum has a lot of really pretty hidden places. I say hidden because they’re not on the main path and we were both never the type to look at maps when visiting places.

The day we chose to visit was quite hot, or rather “hot” according to my Canadian standards. We didn’t bring water bottles with us because we didn’t see the need to. But oh boy, there really is a need to. There were no places that sold water and if there was, it was closed. We also saw people at the Dallas Arboretum having cute little romantic picnics and playing in the water at the end of the tree tunnel. This is like a giant park for families to enjoy and spend time with each other. Unfortunately, after not much walking, I got very thirsty and dehydrated. Thus, I felt the urge to touch all the water.
I thought I’d adjust to Texas weather after a month, but definitely not.
I think this picture of a squirrel we took just chilling on this picnic table explains how the heat makes me feel. I am super glad I wore white and shorts for this weather.
There were a lot of flowers, but you know me, I like my architecture, water, and fountains. As you can tell by my travel blogs, there is quite the common theme of photos. If I ever do go back, I’m definitely bring snacks and drinks to sit down, chill, and enjoy!
